As you read this, a 25-year-old farmer, Mohammed Tanko, has been ordered to be remanded in prison after he allegedly killed his adulterous wife’s secret lover.

Tanko of Gorobani village in Kaiama area of Kwara State, was charged before an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stabbing one Boka death who he alleged was having s*xual affairs with his wife.

The Prosecutor, Cpl. Abideen Oderinde, told the court that on Feb. 25, the accused assaulted Boka because he suspected him of having s*xual intercourse with his wife (Daya).
“As a result, fight ensued between them and Tanko stabbed Boka with knife and he died instantly.”

The prosecutor said the accused is facing a one-count charge of culpable homicide. He said that the offence contravened Section 221 of Penal Code Law.
Funny enough, despite the fact that people saw everything, the husband still pleaded not guilty.

The Magistrate, M. F. Adebola, ordered he be remanded at Federal Prison Oke-Kura, Ilorin. The case was thus adjourned to April 14, for further trial.
