Nigerian comedian stabs compatriot to death over Zimbabwean girl

Udumioh Jerry, a comedian fondly called MC Jerry, allegedly stabbed one Ebinabo Mendeinyo, also a comedian, to death on Boxing Day following a club brawl over Zimbabwean girl on Xmas eve in Cyprus. MC Jerry was
apprehended and has been charged with murder, trespassing, kidnapping and serious assault.
The reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained, but a police source alleged that the fight started on Xmas eve at a party. The source added that the fight was over a Zimbabwean girl. Mendeinyo was stabbed multiple times by about 6 boys said to be Nigerians too.
The assailants were said to have driven to the house of a friend to Mendeinyo, kidnapped him and forced him to take them to Mendeinyo’s house. He was made to knock so that he would open the door without suspecting.
However, when he opened the door, he was allegedly stabbed and his throat slit. The police say investigations are still ongoing, as some of the accomplices to the murder are yet to be arrested.
